If your company is trying to be found online and wanting to reach the next level then instituting an inbound marketing plan is the ideal way to guarantee you will be found in the search engines. A successful website will not only generate hits but those hits will turn into leads which then in turn become revenue for your company.
Inbound marketing is the method of pulling in customers rather than pushing the message on to the customers. In a time when it is growing easier for a customer to send your company’s advertising straight to junk mail, companies must begin to establish new marketing strategies. Your company can attract customers through search engines, blogs, and social media rather than old and outdated methods of marketing.
It has been proven that a website that generates more content generates more customers. Examples of useful content could be white papers, tip sheets, or a frequently-asked questions blog article.
- White papers. A white paper is a report that is written to simply educate and convince a potential customer to buy your product from your company. It addresses the idea that a problem exists, how it can cause additional problems, the solution to the problem, and then marketing your company out as the solution to that problem.
- Tip Sheets. A customer will appreciate a blog article or a link to page on your company’s website with tips on how to use your product. Rather than filling your website full of information about your company and products you can focus a section of your company’s website on tips and tricks for solving minor problems.
- Frequently-Asked Questions Blog. Your company may receive frequently-asked questions about a product you sell. Why not go ahead and create a blog article dedicated to answering these questions for the customer to see? It will show your company has taken notice and it is concerned and focused on helping its customers with their problems. Creating a blog article dedicated to FAQs in conjunction with tip sheets will answer these questions and concerns and add more content to your website/blog.
Social Media Profiles. A social media page is an integral part of aninbound marketing plan and can prove valuable to your company and generate a larger customer base and following. It is proven that people with a larger following on social media pages have more successful websites. A social media page offers your company the chance to reach your audience and listen to their compliments, criticisms, questions and then respond appropriately. The more you update your social media page the more traffic you will attract.
- Supplying consistent, new, fresh content and applying an inbound marketing strategy and moving away from outdated marketing strategies will surely generate more hits, increase your customer base, and ultimately generate more revenue for your company no matter what service or product you offer. With time and changes in technology applying an inbound marketing strategy will become increasingly important to companies looking to expand.
